So I was having a bit of a fang at a twisty section of road today. Fun it was. I was being careful, though, making sure to stay as close to the outer edge of the road surface as possible.
Came around a sharpish right-hander & there's a fuckwit in a VW Polo coming at me over the wrong side of the road. Fortunately it was a wide road at this point & my precaution paid off.

Brain fade. I'd already noticed that pics form my DSLR had the wrong date applied to them once in Photos app on the Mac. Only out by a year & 58 minutes. The time setting had slipped so it was 2 minutes fast & DST hadn't been applied. And for some unknown reason the year setting was for Jan 2017. Fixed now.

Been looking at YouTube videos on refilling Starbucks Verismo coffee pods - they're rebranded Espresto pods, as are the K-fee system ones used by my Aldi pod machine.
These videos refer to pods costing a dollar each, which surprised me greatly, since I pay $6 for a box of 16 Aldi pods, equating to 37c per pod. That's AU currency, the US equivalent at today's exchange rate is 30c.

Coffee. From my K-fee Preferenza pod machine. A 450 ml cup with 50 ml of evaporated milk microwaved for 45 seconds to boil it. Then whipped to a foam with a battery powered whisk. Used a no 10 strength pod at the 200 ml setting & a no 8 pod at the 140 ml setting. Sugar to taste.

Wot's wrong with the display?

Strange Kindle Paperwhite 2 behaviour when borrowing Kindle Unlimited content. I tap the "Read fo $0.00" button & it claims to be downloading the title but nothing happens. Instead I have to go back one stage & reselect "Read for $0.00" upon which a message pops up saying "our records show you have already have this book" before actual download option appears.
Normal purchased content downloads immediately upon selection.

New version of SuperDuper! app is out: this one really works well with High Sierra APFS systems: you choose which of several local snapshots gets cloned.

Momentary panic a few hours back when I refuelked the car. Couldn’t find the Lumia 1520 I thought was in the glove compartment- needed to enter the fuel usage in an app on it.
Then I remembered I’d used it as a GPS navigator and almost fully discharged the battery because the charge cable in the car wasn’t connected properly.
The phone is in a bedroom at home, having been recharged. The Qi wireless charger wasn’t pumping out enough amps to increase the charge, so I had to connect physically.
