GP says I have a virus so antibiotics will do nothing. Prescribed frequent drinks of water and paracetamol (aka acetaminophen) plus sources of vitamin C. The condition should improve over the next few days.

Great. Now on top of my chill/shivering issues I have an attack of sciatica.

I’ve made an appointment with one of the other doctors at the clinic for tomorrow afternoon. Still go to make up a hospital essentials bag just in case. At least four days worth of clothes, toiletries, iPad, phone, Kindle and ways to keep them all charged

It happened again. Woke up with chills and severe shivering. Can’t get to see my GP until Monday so I’m off home to pack a hospital go-bag if needed. I had some blood tests due to be done this month, so they’ve been done. I got over the shivers and chills by crawling back into bed and cranking up the electric blanket to 50%..

I have to eat something, haven’t had much the last two days. So I’ve microwaved an individual meat pie and I’m going to eat the filling. I can manage that much.

When feeling down and flat like this it’s essential to maintain hydration. For that I use Vimto syrup in hot or cold water. For example, during the day I was using cold water with I’ve blocks added. But now it’s night, I’m on the hot version.

God, what a day. I'm wrecked; sore and tired after suffering a chill and shivering episode earlier in the day. I just couldn't get warm. In desperation I went out to the car and ran the heater on its highest setting for at least 30 minutes.
I ache all over but at least I'm over the chill and shivering.

Yum, Dutch stroopwafels (syrup waffles) softened to convert the hard centre into a slightly gooey syrup by steaming them over to top of a cup of tea or coffee.

Image Capture can get the Halide RAW pics off the phone onto the Mac. I have used Pixelmator Pro, Affinity 2, GraphicConverter 12 and Photos to play with the images.

If you haven’t already done so, check out the Halide iPhone app. The latest version adds the ability to choose Process Zero, which disables the normal iPhone photo processing features and takes a single picture only (unless you choose RAW as well).
