Been living here almost 19 years. 18 years ago a piece of the plastic toilet roll holder snapped off so I replaced it with the end of a brass dart, held onto the remnant with epoxy putty. This worked OK but was wobbly because the dart section was too short, only engaging one of two retaining holes in the bit attached to the wall.
Fixed that today. OK, so I tend to procrastinate sometimes.
I screwed a plastic hollow wall anchor into the dart remnant, this held it vertically OK, but it wanted to slide out. I drilled a small hole in the plastic bogy and fitted a screw so it went into the wall anchor, locking the whole arrangement. Should be good for another 18 years. I'll get back to you all on that.
