Intermttent beep emanating from the garage at Mum’s place. Really irritating. Originally thought it was a fault in the newly-replaced solar array inverter but no faults were showing on the test panel.
An almost omni-directional beep, all I could determine was it was coming from something on the left side.
Mum doesn’t drive anymore, she has a mobility scooter which, according to the instructions, has a low battery beep. Moved that out of the garage.
Beep still in garage. Turned off scooter charger. Still beeping. Turned off electronic tumble dryer. Still bloody beeping.
Eventually found the source.
Inside the rear of Mum’s unused car, on the floor, was a 12-volt jumpstarter that was last used 18 months ago. It was flashing its low battery LED & associated audible indicator.
Connecting that to a battery charger killed off the irritating beep.
