In the local newspaper there's the story of the son of a fella I was in school with who decided the local Farmer's Market was an ideal venue/occasion to launch his farm-produced Jersey milk. The Australian dairy industry was deregulated in 2000 or thenabouts so producers can bottle & market their own milk provided it's at least pasteurised.
I currently buy fresh milk from a not-so-local supplier with a Friesian herd. But Jersey cows milk has a higher milkfat content than Friesians do.
At this stage, there are no distributors or businesses actually selling the stuff, that's still being organised. It was only released a week ago, a maximum of two litres per customer.
