@gtwilson When the time came to replace the drowned & unworkable MacBook Air my options re cost/performance were non-Touch Bar 13-in MacBook Pro; 13-in MacBook Air or i5-equipped MacBook. I've had a Retina 4k iMac since August last year, so the Air was rejected due to lack of Retina display.
The MacBook was rejected because of its single USB-C (non-Thunderbolt 3) port.
