@JeremyCherfas Pumpkins are wonderful vegetables, have always been popular in Australia. Mashed, roasted, as a main soup ingredient, in stir-fries. my Dad grew aerial pumpkins, usually butternut or golden nugget varieties with the vine being grown along a wire mesh fence.
Here we call them pumpkins if they have yellow/orange flesh, otherwise they're squashes.
