An awkward health issue struck me down. I had to be taken by ambulance to hospital for a blood transfusion and iron infusion. The clinical reason was haemoglobin level of 75 (normal is above 120 and low iron stores. I'm scheduled for a follow-up gastroscopy on Thursday next week. as I'd have trouble finding someone able to drive me to the hospital, I'm staying in overnight and driving home the following day, 24 hours after the procedure. Twelve days later I'm due for a results debriefing about the investigation. Not much fun.
