Thomas Davey, Governer of the Van Diemens Land (now Tasmania) colony between 1813 & 1817 was a massive drinker.
His favourite drink was apparently the “Blow My Skull Off” cocktail.

Two pints Boiling water
Quantum Sufficient loaf sugar
Lime or lemon juice
Pint of Ale or Porter
Pint of Rum
Half a Pint of Brandy
