I bough some more anti-reflux medication yesterday, but left it in the car. Stupid. Woke at around 3 am - 50 minutes ago with reflux burning my throat. Headed out to the car & grabbed the pills, immediately downing the proton-pump inhibitor Followed later by the type of antacid that works best for me. Painfully waiting for relief. Sipping cold milk helps a bit - it's the calcium working its ways.

Where, when, how, what, who???????

What would people know. Stuff 'em. I like it.

But someone else has suddenly found their own car is undrivable? (Five-Finger Discounts, aka Midnight Spares?)

Virtually identical to a saying used about a town 50 km east of here. "If you can see the Strzelecki Ranges it's about to rain. If you can't see them it is raining."
Arrant nonsense! Frequently you can't see them because of the fog.

Just received a package consisting of two Snuglets http://www.newertech.com/products/snuglet.php and a removal tool. The Snuglet initially fits around the Magsafe 2 plug and when you insert it into the charging port, it's held magnetically inside the port. A considerably greater force is needed to unplug the connector.

Apple goofed with the Magsafe 2 setup: the plug wobbles around inside the receptacle too much and is much easier to accidentally dislodge than the original Magsafe 1 arrangement.

The Snuglet fills this "wobble" space.

Seven weeks ago I changed my private health insurance provider because the new one had a far better deal and was cheaper. For one thing, as a 57-yr-old male I have no use for pregnancy or IVF cover, for which I'd been paying with the old fund. The new mob sent a request to change notice to the old one which was ignored & for the next 6 weeks I was paying premiums to two different providers.

Last week I managed to get the old fund to stop stealing my money. But they still thought I was a member despite hving switched over a month previously. Still no sign of reimbursement.

The new fund sent a second request thru to the old and simultaneously I start chasing up a refund via Twitter.

This was successful: I'll have the excess $251 tomorrow.

Insurance: The White Man's Burden.

@kdfrawg I've learned not to have spicy foods for the evening meal.
