@streakmachine bend over. I'll send some around.
@kdfrawg Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder’s fork, and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg, and howlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
Lunch at the Men's Shed every 3rd Wednesday is a BBQ. That's today! I've mixed up something special, into 100 grams of coarse lamb mince I added four different herb/spice/glaze mixes obtained by my brother when he worked in a factory that's been making such stuff for over 100 years. I used Greek Yros mix; lamb & herb mix; tomato, onion & pretend bacon sprinkle then bound it all together with dried potato flakes. Next I formed it into two balls, covered them in a lamb & mint glaze powder & flattened them into two burgers. I expect the result will be rather tasty.
I spent the last two days looking after my rather sick & miserable mother, when I did get back home, I totally expected the cat not to give a hoot about my return.
Justified, she was sitting on a camping chair in the back yard beside one of the orange trees, enjoying the secluded sunshine. She came inside three hours later to complain about her dry food not being ideal.
I shoved it back into its storage tin, mixed it around loudly and scooped some back out. Now, at 10:30 pm, she's smooching up to me on the bed.
Dogs have owners, cats have staff.
12 hours remain of my current nursing duty. One brother recovering from shoulder surgery will be available from Monday afternoon until whatever time on Tuesday that our sister & her husband show up for a scheduled visit. On Monday or Tuesday someone will be taking Mum back to the E&R for catheter removal, we don't know which day so someone must be on hand.
Found a rather nice pasta sauce in the freezer, lots of chopped vegetables and a similar amount of beef mince. Served over some pasta spirals chosen because the bag was open. Cooked far too much, of course, Mum says she'll finish her serve for breakfast. Very tasty indeed. Australia tends to do pasta barse-ackwards: the emphasis is on the sauce rather than the pasta.
@streakmachine Insane secret side project? You're trying for twins this time?

Having had a big meaty lamb shank each for lunch, my mother & I shall have something a bit lighter for dinner. Possibly a cheesy pasta dish.
@matigo I nearly bought a pack of lamb mince the other day but resisted temptation as I have nowhere to store it. The fridge & both freezers are full. It was a good price, too, discounted to clear. Lamb mince makes fantastic burgers & meat loaf, the flavour is totally different to beef.
