by shopping on Saturday mornings or going to wholesale butchers who tend to stay open later. The small country town where my mother lives has a butcher as well as two supermarket meat departments. This butchery is a 7-day per week enterprise with the best meat in the area. An enviable reputation built up over many years.

And Polymail now has IMAP support in beta. So I can use it to access both Men's Shed email accounts whilst away from the shed. I had been using Inky but its interface sucked compared with Polymail.

It's very rare to find butchers that open past 5;30 pm here. It's always been that way…..

Looking like longposts.net over in ADN-land has died. I tried a longpost with nice.social but the link went nowhere when I tried to open it with Safari from Cauldron app.
So I'm back to using Droplr instead.

Doubt it. Might be related to the multiple pelvic fracture I had in 1990. I have enough pinched nerve problems in my lower back: that's the sciatic nerve getting squoze.

Getting weird twinges in my left thigh, up near the hip. Takes an effort not to fall when they're bad.

Contacted a sensible person at the ISP/carrier who was able to tell me that my new bundled connection is the National Broadband Network 400 GB per month internet component & my original phone number. I can ignore the letter that says my phone number will cost $39 per month, he confirmed the old original phone number is included in the NBN bundle.

It's not so much the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing; it's more that the right hand doesn't know the left hand exists while the left hand knows all about the right hand.

And I worked for that mob for 31 years. No wonder I'm a mental case & a nervous wreck.

Incompetent trollop in carrier's local shop can't understand my concerns. I had a bundled internet connection consisting of FTTN @ 400 GB per month & a home phone connection for $89. Some idiot has disconnected the home phone component & issued my old home phone number (which had been changed for another when the FTTN replaced the ADSL) as a separate $39 per month component.
They were supposed to disconnect the ADSL & associated phone number when the FTTN came along. Instead the sods renewed the ADSL for an extra 2 years.
I contacted some helpful person who, as far as I was concerned, fixed everything to my satisfaction by disassociating the ADSL & phone number from my address. I'm waiting on her to contact me again.
Hateful bunch of morons.

Seems the carrier has screwed up again. My original phone number that they suddenly reconnected yesterday is going to cost me $38 per month. That's what they think. It won't happen, I know I can get action by directly contacting the CEO and explaining the situation to him. I'm supposed to have a phone connection supplied via the National Broadband Network, which is independent of the carrier.
I'm getting seriously pissed off here.

Indeed it does.
