Restarted!
Curly problem. I need to install Yosemite on an external drive, so I downloaded the installer, alas, the installer can't be opened by a Mac running Sierra, the installer is too old. Options: 1- wait til tomorrow when I have access to a Mac on Yosemite. 2- boot into a Yosemite recovery drive I have on a USB stick and reinstall from there, hoping it doesn't over-ride Sierra. I chose option 3- last week I created a startup USB stick on Yosemite consisting of TechTool Pro & 9 other apps. It uses 8.09 GB of space on a 16 GB stick, so there was enough room for the 5.72 GB installer as well.
So I booted the MBA into the Mac OS X Basics drive & ran the installer from that environment. Allegedly, the installation has "About 3 minutes temaining….."
@kdfrawg I have managed to go 58 years without ever having a waffle. Ergo, I have no idea if I'm missing anything or not. ?

Not running Sierra on your Mac? Want to hide the annoying "Update to Sierra" banner that appears in the App Store? http://www.lifehacker.com.au/2016/11/hide-the-giant-macos-sierra-update-banner-in-the-mac-app-store-with-a-click/
Using Chrome to access Cappuccino helps when the northerners lapse into Swedish. Right-clicking gives the translate into English option. It's capable of translating more than one language in a window, too.
Several years ago a drinking glass broke in the sink as I was cleaning it. The water suddenly going red indicated I'd sustained some personal damage. On my right index finger there was a flap of flesh trying its best to fall off. I dried it and nudged it back into place, locking it down with a pair of butterfly closures and covering it with a waterproof breathable dressing. It healed reasonably well but not perfectly & sometimes, like right now, it's painful when I put any sort of pressure on it. Such as pushing myself up from a bed or chair. Really inconvenient.
Steamed asparagus in a cheesy sauce & pan-fried marinated lamb leg chops for dinner. Much flavour.
