@matigo You're going the wrong way…
I paid a mere $15 on Amazon for a stainless steel reusable coffee pod alleged to suit my K-Fee Preferenza machine. It doesn’t fit, its 29mm tall, needs to be 28mm to fit properly in the machine. Diameter is OK, though.
I instigated a return/refund with the seller whose condescending response was quite insulting.
“Considering that return will take time and money as for this issue
we will issue you 15% refund as a disocunt could you keep the item?
waiting for your reply.”
I responded that the item is completely useless to me as it doesn’t allow the locking handle to depress fully & is unsuitable & unsafe.
15% of $15 is $2.25.
Cheap scum. Own up to your responsibilities under consumer law, areswipe.
Don’t Install macOS Big Sur on the same APFS container as older versions or you will no longer be able to receive system or service updates for your existing macOS version. And you'll see a "incompatible disk" warning.
https://www.macobserver.com/news/product-news/psa-big-sur-apfs-partition/
Further to this, you can still install Big Sur to another partition but only if your existing Mac's actual drive exceeds 256 GB, as that is the minimum size for an APFS container. Partitions cannot be created on APFS drives of 256 GB or less capacity – I tried with my 256 GB MacBook Pro & it wasn't permitted.
Therefore, if you want to try out Big Sur Beta on an existing Mac but only have 128 or 256 GB, it cannot be done on an internal drive, but you can install it to an external SSD formatted as APFS.
Scum.
That's the nicest thing I have to say about manufacturers whose products fail on first use. I bought (from Amazon) a box of 50 disposable face masks in case society/government mandated their use outside in the future.
The bloody things are useless. As soon as you stretch the elastic ear loops to fit them, one or both ends tears away from the mask itself.
I have instigated a return for refund process, be going out soon to post the pack back to Amazon on the other side f the city, once received, I'll get a credit to m y Amazon account for the full amount I paid.
Predatory arseholes. Cheap Chinese junk.
As of midnight on Wednesday we are required to wear masks when outside.
I have a washable style cloth mask with a pouch to take an activated carbon filter inside it. The filters need replacement once or twice per week. I have 24 filters, meaning I have 8 to 12 weeks of protection. The recommendation is to wash the mask once or twice per week as well. I shall be visiting other mask retailers for more disposable masks that aren't as shitty as the ones being returned.
Bread OK, a bit heavier than desired. Original breadmaker tripped the circuitbreaker and when power was restored, started mixing the risen dough, punching the puff out of it.
Transferred the lump to a smaller & much older breadmaker for 70 minutes on the bake-only cycle. If it wasn’t a fruit loaf it wouldn’t be worth keeping but fruity breads can get away with a heavier texture.
Failbaking. Bread rose OK but there’s a fault in the breadmaker’s bake cycle & it trips the circuitbreaker. Transferred the deflated dough lump into an older & smaller breadmaker & set it on the bake-only setting for an hour. I have consigned the faulty device to the rubbish.
Surprised. The package bread mix has a best before date of JAN 2014.
I mixed it up anyway and with an hour remaining in the bread maker the dough has risen perfectly well. Smells like a spicy fruit loaf should.
Frankly, I’ll be surprised if this spicy fruit loaf works at all. I found the mix & its pack of yeast in the back of a cupboard. I fed the bread maker with the correct ingredients - milk & water warmed in the microwave; bread/spice/fruit mix & dry yeast - turn it on at the basic setting as per box instructions.
The reason for my doubt is the date on the yeast: late 2014, so it’s about 6 years out of date. Then again, it was in a dark corner & the plastic foil yeast bag was undamaged.
