My sister and I decided to hit Mum's rhubarb patch in Dad's orchard/vegetable garden with a ride-on mower. This patch was around 2 square metres in area and we mowed the damned space down to ground level, literally. Scraps of rhubarb and fine soil particles flew everywhere.
I don't know quite what we were thinking. The misbegotten horror of a plant patch regrew to an even greater height and density than previously
