@jws A friend at the Mac User Group asked me if I could take a 12-in G4 PowerBook off his hands (free!) as the customer he’d acquired it for no longer wanted it. I accepted immediately! It’s specs are: 1.5 GHz G4; 80 GB HDD; 1.25 GHz RAM (256 MB soldered & 1 GB stick in the sole slot) & a SuperDrive to handle DVD/CD burning jobs.
