I'm having serious doubts about the FruitJuice app I used for the last three years on two Mac laptops: this app aimed to set timers & reminders for the user to run on the battery for 20% of the estimated battery life per charge cycle, In under two years of use on this MacBook Pro, its battery had to be replaced because after 540 charge cycles, its capacity was 77% of the original. However, damage to the top case & one of the two Thunderbolt 3 ports meant the top case (including battery) had to be replaced to properly fix the port damage issue anyway. Apple averages suggest 1000 cycles before it drops below 80%.
Since macOS 10.5.5 incorporates battery management I have removed FruitJuice app.
The MacBook Pro's battery dropped below 80% at the start of April this year. The Mac was made in May 2018 & purchased in July 2018.
