An earlier post of mine mentioned roadworkers having had favourable conditions to complete resealing of the town centre bypass freeway.

These "favourable conditions" on the two days concerned meant daylight temperatures in excess of 38˚C (100+˚F) & those official temperatures are measured in a Stevenson Screen shade box. Outside temperatures would have been over 45˚C. And working with molten asphalt. Good thing they have machines to do most of the work.
The night-time temperatures weren't cool either, around 27˚C on both Wed & Thurs nights & the roadworks continue 24 hours per day.
