I spotted my forearm crutches in the garage today as I headed for the charging station where the mobility scooter was located:I needed to bring in a 120 litre and 240 litre rubbish and recycling bins from the kerb some 50 metres from my front door. That sort of duty can't be done with the rollator walker but the scooter has hooks on the rear to carry walkers. These hooks are also OK for carrying the bins.
The smaller rubbish bin fits neatly inside the larger recycling bin, so I only needed one trip.
Upon my retureI tried walking a little bit with the crutches. It's a viable method as long as I don't need to carry any large or awkward objects. Movement with the crutches hurts the recovering knee less than using the walker.
