With added chapters by me.

Whenever I do any ironing, all three bedrooms & the corridor are involved. The power cord & detachable steam iron base come into the end of the corridor from one bedroom. I stand at the very end of this corridor, in the open doorway of the end bedroom. The iron is stored on top of a chest of drawers beside the doorway.
The ironing board is mounted onto the door of the third bedroom & folds down into place. I put the iron base on the end of the board nearest the hinge & put the iron on the base. Normally I use the iron in cordless mode but sometimes for heavy work I leave the base attached, using the iron as a conventional corded one. It works for me.

@kdfrawg I did buy a rechargeable battery incorporating wireless recharging for my original Magic Mouse. It sat on its charging pad when not in use. Then the cat attacked the mouse and the fall onto a tiled floor broke the catch holding the battery in place.

@kdfrawg The iMac came with the MM2. The Logitech M557 I've had for almost two years and in that time I've changed the batteries once.

Magic Mouse 2 down to 59% charge. Connected Logitech M557 long battery-life mouse & started charging MM2 about 10 minutes ago, now it's charge shows as 71%.

"Time to hit the sack."

Decided the clamp-on 4-port USB 3ยท0 hub I've fitted to the iMac to direct 4 USB ports to the front is impractical. Instead of clamping it to the side I'll use double-sided mounting tape to attach it to the back where it meets the edge.So the four ports will be accessible from the side, which makes it easier to attach/remove cables.

Apparently Mastodon 95 is a thing: a Windows 95-looking web-app for mastodon.social.

Local water authority has a very effective & easy to navigate iOS app. Damn shame it doesn't show the amount I need to pay this month. The account info in today's email & their website says $x due, app says $0.
