The Mac User Group venue is currently uncomfortable in the cafe area. The heating system is of the underfloor type, cast into the concrete slab and on too high a setting.

Oh deer. After my meeting with a large deer in the car a few months ago comes this tale of such a critter going on a rampage in a funeral parlour 50 km away by road. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-09-01/deer-rampage-at-melbourne-funeral-home-thousands-dollars-damage/8864612
But have a look at this view from Apple Maps:

It's definitely not a rural area. The red pin shows the location.

Blast it. Had the iPhone plugged into the iMac. Wifi died. Network had switched to iPhone USB. Hate that. Odd that it should happen 20 minutes after the phone was connected. Plus Personal Hotspot was not active on the iPhone.

What do the Enterprise and toilet paper have in common?
They both circle Uranus wiping out Klingons.

As I recall, if involved in a Google Hangout, you can select a graphic of blue tweetie (Twitter?) birds circling your head.

It's not a transfer. It's a repair.

Needing to burn a DVD from a disk image, I couldn't find the option to do so in Disk Utility in Sierra.
Why not? Because that's handled by the Finder now. Right-click the desired .dmg & select "Burn xxx.dmg to Disc" from the contextual menu items.
Rather easier than with Disk Utility but old habits die hard.

Shifting the connection to one of the full-powered USB 3ยท0 ports at the back of the iMac has made the directory replacement task much quicker.
