Had an interesting proposal from a friend whose business is repair, maintenance & salvage of Macs & their data. A client has a 2013 11-inch MacBook Air that's got wet & unusable. No backups were maintained. (Idiot.) Geoff wants to borrow my MBA & swap the SSD from the sick machine into mine in order to clone that drive. He assures me it's relatively straightforward.
We discussed other options & the cheapest hardware purchase solution would cost around $200 if available in this country. Currently no known supplier holds stock. Other PC-centric suppliers are being checked out.
