I’m inordinately fond of coffee-flavoured milk. Up until about 5 years ago, the ALDI home brand one was, in my experience of other brands, the third strongest of the standard iced coffee brands. Then they changed the recipe. Increased the sugar and went from a 1.5% fat milk to a 3.7% full-fat version. That sort of treatment works with chocolate milk, coffee is betterwith the lower-fat stuff.
ALDI had slipped down to about position five by doing that.
They have just released a “double-espresso” version and in the process climbed back up to the number twp position. This new brew uses twice as much coffee as their other one but leaves the sugar & full-fat milk content alone.
